The exhibition presents a selection of works from the eccentric Dada movement – an art movement formed during the WWI in Zürich as a response to the horrors of the war. Artists in the exhibition are among others: Jean Arp,Hugo Ball, Andre Breton, Theo van Doesburg,Marcel Duchamp, Max Ernst, Elsa Hildegard Baroness von Freytag-Loringhoven, Hannah Höch, Marcel Janco, Francis Picabia,Man Ray, Kurt Schwitters and Tristan Tzara. The exhibition presents collage, sculpture, painting, drawing, photo, film, sound, puppetry and periodicals, and is curated by Henie Onstad Kunstsenter in collaboration with the Sparebankstiftelsen DnB.
